Release!

After "blue" which she wrote with a friend, Barbara had caught the writing bug. And immediately she wrote a stunner of a thriller.

Julie Meskens is weighed down by the sudden death of her mother. She throws herself into her studies in veterinary medicine, meanwhile having one one-night stand after another. When she turns out to be unplanned pregnant, this sets off a series of strange events.

And then one hot summer day she disappears from her apartment. The police are puzzled. Who could be behind this? Did the baby's father kill Julie? Did she run away? Was she kidnapped?

Only Julie knows what is going on. She realizes that she will die as soon as her baby is born. Yet she fights not only for her own life, but especially for that of her unborn child.

The clock is ticking. The chance to escape is dwindling, as delivery draws irrevocably closer.
