In the world Ayra, magic is balanced by beings called Wyndrygem. They are born once every hundred years to cleanse Ayra of dark magic.

But when Wyndrygem Alma falls in love with an evil wizard, things go wrong. Young Bryana brings hope. Alma receives a vision: Bryana will have a son, who may well mean Alma's salvation. His name is Daigho.

When Daigho is seventeen, his girlfriend is harassed by some boys. He turns into a creature with bat wings, a hated race in his world.

Daigho flees and ends up on a completely different world: Earth, where he regains his human form and befriends Fay. But as much as he loves her, Daigho wants to return home. He wants answers.

Why does he sometimes turn into a monster? What is his role in Ayra, where he belongs and where a captured wizard could regain his power at any moment?
