Raven has so far been able to keep this family secret well hidden from her best friend Joris. But the day she too will change is getting closer and closer. Fearing she will lose Joris' friendship, she decides he should not be there.

Just when Raven thinks she has found the perfect solution to transform unseen with a vacation, Joris unexpectedly tags along. Now her family must go all out to convince Joris that they are normal people. And that's not easy with a highly flammable phoenix as grandmother and a hungry vampire as uncle.
