The Seasonal Thief

The Kingdom teems in poverty. Harvests have been poor for years, fishing is plagued by heavy storms at sea, rain and thunderstorms are all the population knows. The old King Marius is the last to have the powers of Weather Magic, but after the death of his wife, he no longer seems to care about his kingdom.
Vesper, a master thief, cares only about the gold pieces she receives after a completed job. She is saving up to take a trip across the Far Sea and leave the mainland behind forever. When Berach crosses her path with an impossible assignment, even Vesper doubts whether it is feasible. He wants to steal the Crystal of Seasons from the Palace and destroy it. In this way, he thinks he can return the seasons to the people and end poverty.
Vesper finds out there is more than just gold and, after all these dark years, suddenly has hope in the future again.
