New Orleans, 1930

A great divide between the rich and poor inhabitants of the city is causing much tension. The orphan Abbigail Barlow is forced to join the Monte Carlo resistance group, made up of the last fighters for equality. 

Abbigail's daily life is filled with dangerous missions. In the process, she must keep her big secret from her fellow resistance fighters. As if that's not tough enough, she has to do it all in partnership with the insufferable, arrogant Jae Hawkins. And then she feels an itch for him.
