Meet
Rani De Vadder
Young Adult author
Rani De Vadder was born with a pen in her hand. She is currently a student of Applied Linguistics Chinese and English.
Since childhood, Rani has had a passion for writing. She wrote her first little book when she was 10 years old. In it, a little frog with only three legs set off on an adventure to prove himself and save his family. This earned her a spot in a local newspaper. She shared Rani's passion for the word for many years on Wattpad, where she now has more than 8,000 followers. Later, she mostly worked behind the scenes or submitted stories for contests. This is how she managed to achieve a number of final spots and honorable mentions.
Rani lives in that small neighboring country of the Netherlands, so she enjoys writing with our famous Belgian chocolate beside her, even though she passionately denies that she is definitely not an addict. Rani came to Hamley Books after seeing the book Upgrade in bookstores. Intrigued, she sent in her manuscript. Outside of writing, she loves reading, nature and animals. So she can be found in the woods every week, or cuddling with her cat (which is not actually her cat), as it brings daily visits and requires cuddles and attention.
Her debut "Toxin" is an exciting Young Adult fantasy that draws you in from the first word.
